Board Of Directors

Dr. Muhammad is the Executive Director, corporate and Investment Banking at Keystone Bank Limited. He has robust intellectual capital, strong management consultancy and extensive commercial banking experience acquired over 17 years of engagement at ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers), Bank of the North Limited, and Unity Bank Plc, with hands-on competences in strategy development, corporate planning, corporate banking, treasury marketing, and product development.

Dr. Muhammad holds a Ph. D in Development Economics (Universite de Grenoble II, France, 1989), an MBA (1983) and a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration (1979), both from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

A keen writer, Dr. Muhammad has presented papers at several seminars and workshops on bank management, markets for petroleum based products, debt and development, and the role of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in the economic development of Nigeria, among others. He has also attended international courses on product development, banking software and corporate renewal in Egypt, Jordan and Switzerland respectively.

Ukachi Orji is a seasoned insurer whose experience in the industry spans over 15 years. She began working in the industry with her appointment at Central Insurance Company Limited as an underwriter and rose to the position of Head of Special Risks Underwriting.

Orji joined KBL Insurance (then Guardian Trust Insurance) in July 2002 and set up the claims unit. She later became the head of Underwriting and Claims and was in 2009 appointed Head Technical, a position she held till she was appointed the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Ukachi has a Law degree from the University of Buckingham in The United Kingdom. After graduating from the University of Buckingham, she studied at the College of Insurance, Sevenoaks, Kent England and was then called to the Nigerian Bar. Before joining the Insurance Industry she had worked with one of the most reputable Law firms in Nigeria.

She is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, as well as the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

Mrs. Isichei has had over 20 years of progressive banking exposure with extensive hands-on experience in banking operations and controls, commercial/consumer banking, treasury and institutional banking, product development, credit analysis and loan management, as well as public sector and management services. She had worked with Savannah Bank of Nigeria Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc and Fidelity Bank Plc before joining Keystone Bank Limited.

A holder of a second class upper degree in Economics from the University of Lagos (1978), Mrs. Isichei also holds a Master of Arts degree in Finance & Investment (University of Exeter, England, 1982); and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme of the Lagos Business School (2002) as well as the Executive Management Programme, INSEAD, Paris France (2004). Mrs. Isichei has also received training in international trade & finance and leadership from FIMBANK, Malta, Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, and Kellogg School of Management, Chicago, respectively.

Mrs. Isichei has also made valuable contributions to the Chartered Institute of Bankers in her capacity as Founding Chairperson, CIBN (Fidelity Chapter, 2009); Vice Chairperson, 3rd CIBN Annual Banking & Finance Conference (2009); and Chairperson, 4th Annual Banking & Finance Conference (2010).

Dr. Michael Agamah is a Non-Executive Director of the Company and the current Company Secretary and Legal Adviser of Keystone Bank Limited. A lawyer with over 22 years’ post-call experience, Agamahl is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association; a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria; an Associate of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars; a Member of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria; and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute of the United Kingdom.

Agamah holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration of Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. His research interests include Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Corporate Performance. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Corporate Governance of the Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom (2009); a Master of Laws Degree of the University of Lagos (1998); a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Jos (1990), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science of the University of Calabar (1984). He is also a member of the Advanced Management Programme Class 20 of the prestigious Lagos Business School.

Agamah had extensive practice experience with reputable law firms before joining Zenith Bank Plc as a Legal Officer in 1997. He left Zenith Bank Plc in 2000 to join the then Guardian Express Bank Plc as the pioneer Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, a position he held until the merger that gave birth to Spring Bank Plc on February 1, 2006. He moved to the then Bank PHB Plc in March 2010 as General Counsel, a position he held until the emergence of Keystone Bank Limited in August 2011.

He is married and blessed with children.

Mr. Abubakar Aliyu is an independent Director of the Company.He has been a career public servant of over 30 years. Mr. Aliyu has served in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as in various Nigerian foreign missions including London, Romania and Rome. He has also served in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and as CEO (Accounts) Head of Advances, at the Presidency, Abuja.

Aliyu holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN). He has attended a number of conferences including the Financial Planning and Public Accountability Fundamentals to achieving vision 2020.

Mr. Simpson Eimiakhena is a Non-Executive Director of the company and head  Lagos & West Directorate of Keystone Bank Limited. He joined the group in 2006 under the former Bank PHB Plc and has functioned in various capacities including, Group Head; Construction, Infrastructure & Building Materials and Group Head; Energy & Power. Prior to his joining the Keystone Bank group, Mr. Eimiakhena had worked with a number of Banks including, Access Bank plc, Fidelity Bank plc and Ecobank plc.

Simpson holds a Master of Science Degree in Banking and Finance from University of Benin. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from University of Benin. He has attended an Executive Program at Canfield School of Management and a Senior Management Program at Lagos Business School. Besides these he has participated in several local and international trainings, conferences and workshops.

He has keen interest in the current power sector reforms of the Federal Government of Nigeria, to this extent; he has participated in the review of relevant papers including Financing Privatisation of DISCOs in Nigeria:
Risks & Mitigants – Paper Accepted for Presentation at 6th IAEE/NAEE Conference in Lagos and Financing Grid Generators Post Reform: A Banker’s Concerns – Paper Presented at the IAEE/NAEE Conference in Abuja, April 2012.

Charles Chigozie Ajawihe is a very energetic and articulate insurance professional, with over 15 years of Managerial working experience which covers Business generation, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Risk Management, and General Management. During these past years he has developed strong underwriting, risk management, Reinsurance, Marketing as well as General Relationship Management capabilities.

He holds a Bsc degree in Public Administration from AdekunleAjasin University as well as a Masters Degree in Public Administration from University of Ado Ekiti. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

He has at various times, undergone through local and international training in the areas of Reinsurance, General Insurance operations, Marketing, Banking and general Management.

He was elevated to the position of Executive Director for Business Development and Marketing in May 2012.

He is married with Children.

Jude Offor began his Insurance career with NEM Insurance Plc.  During his years of employment at NEM, he worked in various departments of the organization.  He moved over to Metropolitan Trust Insurance Company as one of the pioneer staff of its Underwriting Department and rose to the position of Head, Underwriting. Before joining Guardian Trust Insurance Company Limited as Senior Manager Marketing, he was at First Chartered Insurance Company Ltd., as Group Head Financial Institutions.

Jude holds an H.N.D in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology, P.G.D and an M.B.A respectively from the Delta State University Abraka, specializing in Marketing Management.

Charles Ndubuisi Agu who is located in the Onitsha regional Office, oversees the company’s insurance market in the entire Eastern Region. He joined Insurance PHB in the year 2000 as a Manager.  Before Insurance PHB, he was the Head of Marketing and Branch Development of Honesty Insurance Co. Ltd,  Bendel Insurance Plc, and International Standard Insurers Limited.

Agu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance and Actuarial Science from Enugu State University of Science and Technology and an MBA from ESUT Business School, with specialization in Insurance.  He is also a student member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management.

Temitope is the Regional Controller in charge of offices in the South- South area of Nigeria.

He started his insurance career in 1996 with Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited in Port Harcourt where he rose to the position of Assistant Manager (Marketing) until He left in 2005 to join UBA Insurance Company as the pioneering Port Harcourt Branch Manager. Tope later joined Unic Insurance Plc in 2007 as the Senior Manager (Marketing), a position he occupied until he joined Insurance PHB in August 2008 as Regional Controller South. He is a seasoned and versatile Marketer and has attended several courses on Branch Operations and Marketing.

Temitope is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; He also has a PGD in Management from UNICAL and HND in Insurance from The Polytechnic Ibadan. He is a student member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

Olufemi O. Oyesola is in charge of KBL Insurance offices in the South-West region of Nigeria.

He holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree in History and a Masters Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations both from the University of Ilorin.  He is a Student Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

Oyesola started his Insurance career in 1996 with Summit Insurance Company Limited he worked at various departments of the organization and later moved to Fortune Assurance Company Limited in 2002, where he rose to the position of Head, Brokers Unit.  In 2005, he joined Guardian Trust Insurance as Head, Brokers Unit.

JaneOnalo-Abalaka is a seasoned insurer whose experience in the industry spans over a decade especially in public sector marketing and client services.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and also a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

She began her career with the company as a corper in 2000 and has risen through the ranks to become a Controller overseeing the Northern operations of the company.

She is a consistent achiever, and has won the Insurance PHB Managing Director’s award of best performing manager in 2005, 2007 and 2009 respectively. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CIIN) and has also attended several courses and conferences in Insurance marketing and management.

Ayokunle Orimolade is an astute Marketer with over 17years in the industry. He started his career as a pioneer staff with Mutual Benefit Assurance Ltd in 1996. He worked at various levels during his stay in the organization before leaving for Hallmark Assurance as a regional Manager in year 2000. Ayo later moved to Admiral Insurance Ltd and then Oceanic Insurance a subsidiary of Oceanic Bank Plc where he rose to a position of Northern Regional Manager before joining the corporate unit of Insurance PHB Ltd in 2008.

Ayo who has a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University Of Lagos Akoka is a graduate of Mathematics from University of Ilorin alongside another Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Ado-Ekiti. He is a chartered Marketer (ACIMN).

Armstrong Adedugba FCIS is the Company Secretary/Head, Legal & Compliance of KBL Insurance Ltd. He is an Alumnus of Edo State University (now Ambrose Alli University) Ekpoma, where he obtained his LL.B Honours in 1999 and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School later that year.

Armstrong became qualified to practice Law in the Year 2000 and has distinguished himself in the area of Corporate Law & Practice, Legal Practice, Corporate Secretaryship, Corporate Governance, Negotiations, Advocacy, Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered and also holds Diploma in Insurance of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (Dip CIIN). He is a Post Graduate Student of the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos. He has attended trainings and workshops locally and Internationally.

Prior to joining Insurance PHB Limited in 2007, he was engaged in active legal practice and worked with Ferriswheel Solicitors. He also had a stint with Niyi Olopade & Co, Legal Practitioners in 2002 from where he moved to Hallmark Bank Plc. He worked as a Legal & Compliance Officer in Insurance PHB Ltd before rising to become the Company Secretary/ Head, Legal & Compliance.
