Mr. Lawal Mijinyawa is the MD/CEO of the Company. He is an avid Insurance Practitioner with over 25 years in the managerial cadre of Insurance companies. His experience spans in the areas of Actuarial Valuation, Marketing, Compliance and General Management. During his years in the insurance industry, he was involved in Policy Evaluation, Pension Administration, Implementation of Policies, Formulation of Marketing and Strategic Policies for Insurance Products as well as Supervision of the Technical and Marketing Directorate.
He has made relevant contributions in the areas of Group Life Assurance, Marketing of Public Sector Insurance, Privatization and Commercialization of Public Enterprises as well as Branch Management through his paper presentations and publications.
Mr. Lawal Mijinyawa holds a Bsc. in Mathematics from the University of Jos, Nigeria and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Nigerian Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
He served as a Board Member, representing Niger Insurance Plc on the Montgomery Security Vaults Nigeria Limited Board. Subsequently, he joined the Board of KBL Insurance Limited, initially as a non-executive director, and later assumed the role of MD/CEO.
